Warehouse sale of baby products

The last sale we had was in January and it was quite cold. Now we recently had a spurt of fantastic spring weather and we were sure that next week’s sale was sure to be the best ever. Since then of course we have had this cold snap and even some snow on Sunday. But it is not going to last and we are positive to think we will have a fine sunny day for the sale. So make you plans to drop by and get a bargain. Warehouse sales are always good news and the bargains are always well worth it. Parking is available and there are good tubes and buses within a few minutes walk. It’s a good idea to bring a friend or your mum and that way one can manage the babies whilst the other digs around to get the very best bargain. Many mums also want to take advantage of being bale to buy the normal catalogue lines and save paying the hefty delivery charge of £4.50 per order. Everything is possible and to make life better you will also get 10% off your catalogue lines too.

One tip though - it would be very helpful if you emailed and order through in advance and that way we can have it waiting for you and avoid delays.

It is always the best. A good tip is to think about next winter as we clear many items out of winter use and winter weights. Sleeping bags are always a good idea!. Some items are already on sale on the internet site in the ‘clearance’ section.

What do you think of the TOG thing for sleeping bags?

This is one of my favourite gripes. Did you know that in

Europe they have never heard of the word TOG. We just came back from the huge baby show in

Cologne
where the world and his uncle go to show their new products to the nursery trade. The huge companies from Scandinavia and

Germany
, the fabulous Italians and of course a raft of Chinese are all there.

The northern European countries have been wearing sleeping bags for centuries and it was indeed their designs which were copied by some of the famous

UK names in sleeping bags.

But they never bothered in

Europe with sleeping bag weights and things like TOGS. They all used common sense.

If their house is cold and bitter in the winter then the babies are put to bed in thick warm down filled sleeping bags. In a very hot summer they are put in the coolest of thin cotton sleeping bags, more to keep the baby feeling secure and to avoid mosquito bites on the baby.

If the modern mum in

Europe is living in a smart new home that has central heating then they buy a sleeping bag of a lightweight mixture so they can keep the baby at a sensible temperature in the centrally heated home.

Ask yourself if you have any regulation for you to have duvets at a recommended temperature TOG rating for your home? No we don’t. We have options of different weights and fillings to suit our purse and our home temperatures of various rating but in the end we all choose what we personally prefer for our homes.

Of course some of us are very hot people and are more comfortable in lighter bedding whilst others, me included, are always cold and pile on the bedclothes in winter.

So how can there be just one rating for a baby?

I often think there must be some poor baby in some exotic flat in London boiling away in the 2.5 tog rating in winter and another baby in deepest darkest welsh valley freezing in an old stone house in mid winter.

Just because there is some weird idea that they must all have 2.5 tog rating.

What do you feel? Have we all gone mad? Why does no one question this?
