My tip for teething babies off their food is try some really cold fromage frais or yoghurt. So when the thought of chicken dinner is not so appealing Jake loves to swish it around his mouth to cool off his gums!!!!

Tip number two:
Homemade Bovril rusks! - My daughter loves these (Evie Pie aged 6 1/2 month)
Butter 6 slices of brown bread. Spread Bovril on. Remove crusts and cut into soldiers. Bake on tray at 100 degrees C for 2 hours. Allow to cool.
Enjoy!

Tip number three:
Homeopathic Teething Granules calmed my Daughter. Rubbing Anbesol on her gums, stopped the aching pain straight away. Giving her a cool teether straight from the fridge helped cool her down.

Tip number four:
My teething tip is a chunk of carrot frozen in the freezer, cool on the gums and doesn’t turn too quickly to mush
- Helen Willis, Lancashire

Tip number six:
As soon as i notice my child has started teething and is not settling, crying and refusing food etc i give them one dropper of gripe water 3 times a day. it really calms them down, also the teeth cums out quick unnoticeable. I experienced this with both my children.

Tip number seven:
My great grandmother prescribed giving babies raw cabbage stalks to chew and both my kids will vouch for their cooling, soothing chompability. Cauliflower and broccoli are just as good.

Tip number eight:
Once they have teeth, use one of the soft chewable toothbrushes that you sell to apply teething gel - it avoids you getting bitten by sharp little teeth and chewing on the brush can give the baby relief
- Jenny Bell, Farnham
Tip number nine:
Try to stay calm. Take every hour as it comes and remember no ‘stage’ lasts for ever. Cuddle baby and let them chew on a finger rubbed with teething gel. They feel reassured close to you and that makes anything feel better.
- Rebekah Clarkson, Croydon
Tip number ten:
I found that a lot of the teething rings that are available are quite big and bulky for my baby, he manages to hold them fine but found it hard to get it in his mouth. I purchased the silicone toothbrush with bumper-guard from PHP and squeezed a small amount of teething gel onto it, my baby (Ryan) can now get hold the toothbrush easily and get the benefit of the teething gel at the same time. I have recommended this to a number of parents and they found that it works for them too
